Recently, we’ve had a lot of interaction + inspiration from the team over at Krochet Kids International, a non-profit organization that is aiding needy Ugandan families by providing economic development programs through quality, handmade products as a vehicle for social change. We paired with the boys for the GIVE Event in Irvine, + recently collaborated with them for some design ideas using cardboard boxes as the building element for their Action Sports Retailers tradeshow booth (check out the cool sequence video on the homepage for the final results).
The krochet-oriented products are produced by sponsored woman within the communities of Uganda who receive the profits directly back for immediate economic stability while giving them a voice for the tragedies of poverty while making the hopes for healthcare, education, and clean water more of a reality. So if you’re just so inclined to drop a few dollars on something other than what is the typical, temporal, + unfulfilling purchase, please check out the Krochet Kids + add a little flair to your wardrobe while doing something beneficial to provide aid + change to developing nations +communities that are in desperate need of it. -PJax
