As fans of all things in design related to the vintage-halcyonic days of California surf culture, with tastes of contemporary retro-modernism, there is no way we could skip over the name of the artist, Andy Davis. Andy’s roots are all over southern California, from Encinitas to Fullerton. While being fundamentally a surfer who finds inspiration for his colorful art from his experiences on the wave to the diverse, international travels that brings him to those waves. Having a loose, whimsical + dreamy style often composed of face-less flowing figures caressing waves or holding the hands of a lover, Davis has environmentally respectful approach that beautifully blends mass media + surf-culture realism. Anyone who inspires us to wake up early for a surf sesh, grab a paint brush and create a work, or go and add an extra flair to our space definitely gets a nod of approval in our book. -PJax
