Saratoga chocolates was created by local San Francisco girl Mary Loomas. Her new shop opened a couple of months ago in the Castro’s old Joseph Schmidt space + we love it! Her wickedly rich, complex chocolates are almost all made from a 71 percent cacao base. Her signature handcrafted Valencia orange truffles, sea-salted caramels, + bars like Le Jardin du Chocolat use local ingredients such as E. Guittard chocolate + straight-from-the-farm fresh fruit.
